Dec 30th is an important day in my family…..it not only happens to be my dad's birthday, but also the birthday of both his sister and his brother, each of them being exactly one year apart in age. My father's birth on 12-30-47, made national news because exactly one year earlier, on 12-30-46, my Grandma had given birth to my aunt Janice, and one year prior to that on 12-30-45, gave birth to my uncle John. All of the babies being born naturally on their given due dates, within just a few hours of each other's birth times. The odds of something like this happening naturally are several million to one. Pretty cool, huh? These were the first three children out of 7. I have a huge catholic family with lots of cousins!
So every year around this time the entire Sauer clan gets together for a big Birthday Party…complete with a Foosball Tourney, in which the winner takes home the coveted Toilet Bowl Trophy. I will be posting more on this grand event next weekend after this year's party. This pic above is my uncle, my aunt and my dad with their "birthday platter" in front of their cakes at last year's party.
I spent the last few days of my vacation getting a few more layouts done. Love these colors on this one!

That’s cool about your dad and his siblings. Two of my ex-SIL’s (I have 4), share a birthday. I guess when you have that many kids it’s bound to happen? Heck, I dont’ know, but that’s still cool!
