I have been really wanting to try out my new lens but came down with a bad cold the day after it came in the mail. I was feeling slightly better this morning and since the sun was out, I was itching to give it a whirl. Guess who I got to pose for me? All four cats: Phoenix, Pharaoh, Isis and Dusty!
SIDENOTE: I have blogged about the cool stuff you can do with Flickr before, but Flickr is my new absolute favorite website. I plan to blog more about Flickr again very soon, but one example of the amazingness is that the following photos I was able to pull into my blog directly from my Flickr photostream…. with all of the photo EXIF information stored to them. That way you can always see what settings I used without me having to do a single thing (Sorry if that annoys you but I like it and think it is helpful to other photographers so deal with it!). You can also click on any photo and it will take you to my Flickr Photostream where you can leave me a comment on any photo if you have a Flickr acct. I love it! (Just another example of the amazing capabilites of using a WordPress installed blog. FYI- the Plugin I am using is called Flickpress. If you use Flickr and have a WordPress installed blog…….I highly recommend!!

Your cats are beautiful! Isn’t it nice to have willing subjects right at home? I love that for practice. You got some good ones here! Shot wise, my favorite is the first one.

Hi! I found your Abys while doing a random Google Images search for “Sheldon’s sofa.” I have a WordPress blog, too, in which I post photos of my Abys Jacoby and Angel…and I’m on Flickr, too. I’ll have to check out FlickPress…it sounds incredibly handy!
