For the record, we had a gigantic snowstorm here in Minnesota that started in the wee hours of Saturday morning and lasted throughout the day. Official reports at the airport say 17″ but some places got more like 21″.
View of my deck at the height of the storm:
The pile of snow in my front yard is at least 12′ high. No kidding!
We got snow much snow that the roof of the Metrodome collapsed and they had to cancel the Vikings game and move it to Detroit. Craziness!
Video footage of the Dome collapsing:
Hope my fellow Minnesnowtans enjoyed the snow day from the comfort of your warm, safe homes!
Thanks for reading, have a great day ;)9 Responses to “Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse, SnOMG { That’s a LOT of SNOW}”

That is a TON of snow! Even in Virginia, we only got 3 feet of snow ONE YEAR. Other than that it rarely goes above 6 inches.
I’m a little jealous, to be honest! I miss the snow.

Your title is very clever. :)
This is crazy! Thanks for the pictures. I grew up in snowy Michigan, and I remember getting snow like that sometimes, but I haven’t seen anything like it in well over a decade. Of course I heard about the snow you got on the news. But I don’t think I saw any photos or coverage on it. You don’t realize what that kind of snow fall looks like until you see it. At least it was over the weekend and you were safe and home. Hope you enjoyed the quiet time!
