Wanted to wish my bff Kimmy a Happy Birthday. Love you!
Our BFF Mary bought Kim this cake at Byerly’s. It was To Die For!!!

Time sure flies, doesn’t it? I mean surely I can’t have already been two years since my nephew Bennett was born!! Indeed, my little buddy turns 2 today. Happy Birthday Bennett! Looking forward to seeing him and the rest of my family at the birthday party on Saturday…

Where has the time gone? Surely there is no way that when I woke up this morning I turned yet another year older??!!!
I think I almost cried for a second when I typed my real age in the title but now I am over it….. I think it sounds scarier than it feels because really, I do not feel any older than I did 5 years ago.
There have been a few years that I was lucky enough to take a day off of work. Not so lucky this year. Actually, the past few weeks at work have been busier than ever, too much to do to take a day off.
I have dinner plans with some of my dearest friends tonight; a quiet homemade dinner is exactly what I want. That’s about it. Also going to celebrate with my BFFs next weekend when Kimmy hosts a brunch in my honor. Looking forward to it!
As always, I appreciate everyone who is in my life…… whether we are family, friends, colleagues, blogging buddies or whatever. I love you guys!

Today is my bff Sonja's birthday and even though I know she doesn't read my blog very often ( no computer, no internet) I wanted to wish her a very happy birthday. A few of us ended up going out last Friday for all-you-can-eat sushi/Japanese to celebrate.
I wanted to give a quick shout-out to my baby brother Jeff who turns the big 2-8 today! There are a million great things I can say about Jeff (and a number of embarrassing stories from when he was a kid) but instead I will just share some cute photos of him when he was a little tyke.
Here is where we welcomed him into out family. I was 4 and Brian was 2.
Jeff had the best curly blonde hair ever!! This was us on a trip to the Black Hills….our ages 8,6, 4
Wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my brother Brian and his wife Michelle on five wonderful years of marriage together! (I made this collage for them last year!)
This is THE biggest week of birthdays between my group of BFFs: Mary, Kim, Lanee and Sonja. We were all either born or gave birth within one calendar week: Me 2-11 Lanee 2-14 Chase 2-15 (Mary's son) Jacob 2-17 (Kim's baby boy) and Angelina 2-18 (Sonja's daughter) Mary, her daughter Taylor, and Rog (Lanee's hubby) are also all Aquarians. Is that crazy cool or what?
Happy Birthday today to my BFF Lanee Valentina! How cool would it be to have your bday on Valentine's Day? Sonja planned a little surprise party for Lanee last night and I was able to go hang out with my girls for awhile and be there to surprise Lanee before having to leave to go to a concert. A few photos:

Happy Birthday Lanee, I hope your birthday is wonderful :)
My niece Bianca turns 2 years old today. How did that happen so fast???!! I clearly remember the day she was born and it doesn't seem like it could've been two years already! Hope Bianca has a great day today. Looking forward to her birthday party this upcoming weekend. Happy Half-Birthday to Annika today too, as she turns 3 1/2.
I know its already old news, but despite the fact that I (along with my niece Bianca below) and thousands of other Vikes fans got all decked out in Purple Pride this past Sunday for the first round of the NFL playoffs, the $%&$*()&* Vikings lost to the Eagles. Not really a surprise since they are so good at letting us down year after stinking year, but it is nice to have hope sometimes. Better luck next year!
Sunday was also the 22nd Annual Sauer Family Foosball Tournament. We have the tourney every year at the celebration of my dad, aunt and uncle's Famous Birthday. Guess who I was randomly paired with this year? Michelle! And we did NOT make it to the championship round like I did last year. Oh no we didn't. In fact, our team was shut out this year :(
Better luck next year! This is the winning team in action. My cousin Collin is really good, he has won the trophy 6 times now!!
The prize is the coveted Toilet Bowl Trophy, which the winner proudly displays in their home for the year of their Championship. Each year it is repainted by the previous year's winners. Here is the 2009 design:
It was a fun time and I think it is so cool that our family has such a unique tradition!
Happy Birthday today to my dearest and oldest pal, Bradie!!
Happy Anniversary to Kara and Jesse today too!!!!
And a huge THANK YOU to Kim in Canada for the cutest little prize she sent me…a travel manicure set! (She had a contest on her blog last week and I won!) Love it!
Every year I have made a collage for Annika, celebrating the past year of her life. First year, second year, and now her third year……
Brian and Michelle had a party for Annika at their house yesterday and the girls had a great time and enjoyed their new gifts. (It is Bianca's half-birthday today, they are exactly 18 months apart)
Annika and her daddy
The girls both got baby dolls, which they loved so much!
Bianca is totally in love with her new Elmo
Me with Bennett
Oh, he makes the cutest smiles!
A huge thanks goes out to my dad for letting me borrow his awesome camera! Its been killing me not to have my own for all the random Kodak Moments.
Its my brother Jeff’s birthday today! In his honor, I thought I’d share some old pictures and maybe tell you about Jeff when he was a kid.
It was a happy day when baby Jeffrey Robert was born May 18, 1981. I had just turned 4, and Brian had just turned two.
Jeff was the cutest little kid! He had the curliest blonde hair that stopped strangers in their tracks. (Thats Jeff in the lower left corner, Then Brian, then my aunt Patti and cousin Michael and then me)
My brothers and I were Karate Kids. Karate Kid was one of the 12 movies we saw over and over as kids.
Here we are in the Black Hills with a donkey?!
As cute as these friendly family photos are, don’t let us fool you. Brian and I picked on Jeff at just about every opportunity we could get. Man, it would’ve sucked to be the baby in the family! Jeff got so much crap, I am not even kidding! Hopefully he doesn’t hold too much resentment for the sibling torture we put him through.
I could tell you many funny stories about Jeff, but he probably has just as many stories about me. So I definitely won’t tell you about the time his World Series Hat fell in the toilet. Or about the songs Brian and I made up and sang to him.
I could make this post really super long listing all of Jeff’s accomplishments, but I think today I will just say…..
