Last Thursday night I met Dana, Ang and Heather for Happy Hour drinks at Joe Sensers in Roseville.
After drinks we went down the street to Good Earth to meet Tanya for dinner. Review of that coming soon ;) We had a nice time and we even got a picture of us

Christmas is usually a busy time of year but can you imagine what it would be like to have a Christmas birthday?? My neighbor, Darrell, was born on Christmas Day. Black Baby Jesus!! lol Every year on Christmas night he and Denise throw a birthday party at their house and invite a bunch of friends and family. This year was extra special because Darrell turned 40!

Happy Birthday to my friend Ang who turns the BIG 3-0 today!
I know I am posting this super late but I literally have not sat down since 6am this morning (its now 10) and that has been the story of my my life every day this week. Anyway, I wanted to wish Ang a happy birthday once again (besides the text msg and FB message). You only turn 30 once, right? (although Ang celebrates for the entire month of December! lol)
Last night I met the Birthday Girl and Dana and Heather out for dinner at a place that none of us had tried before, Brick’s Pub. I will add my review once I get a chance to write it. We had a great time talking, eating and sipping a cocktail or two. We even got a few photos.
I probably should’ve used a flash instead of these crazy shadows I ended up getting without it. Oh well. Sorry ladies!

Last night Ang and I were trying to figure out which year it was that we met. Today I have the answer. It was December 2003!! Know how I know? Well, we met through our mutual friend, Rich, and I took this photo of the two of them at XFest back on May 30, 2004. So Ang, I guess that means this month is our 8th Anniversary ;) wow, how about that? You were just a kid back then. lmao!

Time sure flies, doesn’t it? I mean surely I can’t have already been two years since my nephew Bennett was born!! Indeed, my little buddy turns 2 today. Happy Birthday Bennett! Looking forward to seeing him and the rest of my family at the birthday party on Saturday…
Where has the time gone? Surely there is no way that when I woke up this morning I turned yet another year older??!!!
I think I almost cried for a second when I typed my real age in the title but now I am over it….. I think it sounds scarier than it feels because really, I do not feel any older than I did 5 years ago.
There have been a few years that I was lucky enough to take a day off of work. Not so lucky this year. Actually, the past few weeks at work have been busier than ever, too much to do to take a day off.
I have dinner plans with some of my dearest friends tonight; a quiet homemade dinner is exactly what I want. That’s about it. Also going to celebrate with my BFFs next weekend when Kimmy hosts a brunch in my honor. Looking forward to it!
As always, I appreciate everyone who is in my life…… whether we are family, friends, colleagues, blogging buddies or whatever. I love you guys!

I wanted to give a quick shout-out to my baby brother Jeff who turns the big 2-8 today!
There are a million great things I can say about Jeff (and a number of embarrassing stories from when he was a kid) but instead I will just share some cute photos of him when he was a little tyke.
Here is where we welcomed him into out family. I was 4 and Brian was 2.

This is THE biggest week of birthdays between my group of BFFs: Mary, Kim, Lanee and Sonja. We were all either born or gave birth within one calendar week:
Me 2-11 Lanee 2-14 Chase 2-15 (Mary's son) Jacob 2-17 (Kim's baby boy) and Angelina 2-18 (Sonja's daughter)
Mary, her daughter Taylor, and Rog (Lanee's hubby) are also all Aquarians.

How cool would it be to have your bday on Valentine's Day? Sonja planned a little surprise party for Lanee last night and I was able to go hang out with my girls for awhile and be there to surprise Lanee before having to leave to go to a concert.

My niece Bianca turns 2 years old today. How did that happen so fast???!! I clearly remember the day she was born and it doesn't seem like it could've been two years already! Hope Bianca has a great day today. Looking forward to her birthday party this upcoming weekend. Happy Half-Birthday to Annika today too, as she turns 3 1/2.
I know its already old news, but despite the fact that I (along with my niece Bianca below) and thousands of other Vikes fans got all decked out in Purple Pride this past Sunday for the first round of the NFL playoffs, the $%&$*()&* Vikings lost to the Eagles. Not really a surprise since they are so good at letting us down year after stinking year, but it is nice to have hope sometimes. Better luck next year!
Sunday was also the 22nd Annual Sauer Family Foosball Tournament. We have the tourney every year at the celebration of my dad, aunt and uncle's Famous Birthday.
Guess who I was randomly paired with this year? Michelle! And we did NOT make it to the championship round like I did last year. Oh no we didn't. In fact, our team was shut out this year :(

The prize is the coveted Toilet Bowl Trophy, which the winner proudly displays in their home for the year of their Championship. Each year it is repainted by the previous year's winners. Here is the 2009 design:
It was a fun time and I think it is so cool that our family has such a unique tradition!
