It has been about a year since I last tried to take any self-portraits. I got my hair cut the other day and wanted to take a couple pics. (RELAX, it is just a few inches and it will grow back. My hair grows like a weed). I am trying to figure out just how to accomplish the self-portrait without a remote? I tried the mirror method. I am obviously no good at this because this is what I got!
Oops, cut off half my head

Thanks for reading, have a great day ;)Until last night I did not have any portrait-style photos of me with any of my cats. I decided we needed to change that status so I attempted my first self-portraits with Dusty, my loyal-as-can-be 14-year-old Russian Blue. Dust didn’t feel like looking at the camera, he was more about snuggling but I still like these :)
I used the Urban Cover Model action by MCP Actions
This is another old barn right up the road from my house. I braved the mud and found myself on the farm property (which is abandoned except for the crops that get planted every year) trying to get some photos.
I thought the texture of the barn wall would make a cool backdrop for a portrait, but the only subject I had available was myself!
Another for the photo scavenger hunt. This is #20 (a part of me). The "part of me" I was trying to show is my love of funky necklaces. You can't see this pendant clearly, but it is one made of dichroic glass. I liked this pic because it shows off my sassier side ;)
